Craig Hockenberry

A longtime resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, Craig Hockenberry embarked on a career as a schoolteacher at Roosevelt Elementary after securing his bachelor of arts in elementary education from Mount St. Joseph University. While teaching, he attended Xavier University and earned his master of education administration in 1998. Craig Hockenberry went on to serve five years as a principal with Cincinnati Public Schools and two years as a superintendent with Manchester Local Schools.

As a Manchester superintendent, Mr. Hockenberry led a student body in Adams County, the second poorest county in Ohio. At the end of his tenure with this school district, he secured an honorary doctorate in humane letters from his Mount St. Joseph alma mater.

For the past five years, Craig Hockenberry has served as a superintendent with the Cincinnati area’s Three Rivers Local School District. Since accepting this position, he has served a year as treasurer and a year as president of the Valley Association of Superintendents.
